Troubleshooting
Most Soap Shower issues can be solved by checking the washer, soap setting, showerhead or top connection. Choose the problem below for a quick fix.
Before you begin
Please check that:
1. The black rubber washer is fitted inside the top connection;
2) All connections are hand-tight and snug;
3) The supplied aerated showerhead is fitted;
4) The soap dial is turned up briefly to start the flow of soap
Always turn the shower off before removing the refill container or adjusting any connections.

Water leaking from the top connection
Turn the shower off and unscrew Soap Shower from the shower outlet.
Check that the black rubber washer is inside the top connection and sitting flat. Refit the unit and hand-tighten until snug.
Do not use tools or overtighten. -
Soap Shower swings freely
After fitting, Soap Shower should swivel from side to side with some resistance. It should not swing loosely.
Hand-tighten the top connection a little further until the unit feels secure and any leaking stops. -
Weak bubbles
Fit the supplied aerated showerhead, as it mixes air into the soapy water to create the best bubbly effect.
Try a thinner shower gel and briefly turn the soap dial higher to start the flow. Once the soap is coming through, turn it back down to your preferred level.

Gel is not flowing
The gel may be too thick. Thin shower gels, bath soak and bubble bath usually flow most easily.
Thicker shower gels or shampoo may need mixing with a small amount of water. Turn the dial up briefly to start the flow, then reduce it once the product reaches the showerhead. -
Shower gel is running out quickly
Do not leave the soap dial at its maximum setting throughout the shower.
Start with the dial high to prime the flow. Once soap begins to come through, turn it down until you reach the amount you need.

Unusual shower fitting
Do not force Soap Shower onto a connection that does not appear to fit correctly.
Send us a clear photograph showing the shower outlet, hose connection and the surrounding area. We can usually confirm the correct fitting arrangement quickly.
Things that are completely normal
Water above the gel
Some water may remain above the gel after use. This helps thin the product ready for the next shower.
A short delay before soap arrives
Soap must travel through the hose before reaching the showerhead, particularly at the start of a shower.
Some movement in the unit
Soap Shower is designed to swivel from side to side with some resistance. It should not be completely rigid, but it should not swing freely.
Stop using Soap Shower and contact us if:
- You cannot stop a leak after checking the washer and tightening by hand;
- The product appears cracked or damaged;
- The connection will not fit without being forced;
- Water appears to be coming from somewhere other than the threaded connections.
